I saw this episode when it first aired and always remembered it. I had barely heard of Mr. Hayden before that and was fascinated by him.

Thanks for letting me hear it again.

As far as I'm concerned, Tom Snyder has never been given the credit he deserves for the Tomorrow show. It was just about the only thing on at 1 a.m. when I was in college or beginning my working life on a late shift, and Snyder did marvelous things with it. I can still remember seeing people I'd barely heard of on it -- Ayn Rand, Henry Miller -- and for a FULL HOUR! I remember a show he did with Broadway composers and another one with old-time radio actors. And those are just a few episodes.

I wish NBC would release some kind of "Best of" DVD of this show, but I'm not about to hold my breath.

Thanks again, Kliph.

I'm only seeing this now, how great! Can you tell us, now that the videos have been taken down, whether the images are stills of the first appearance on Snyder (of which I've only heard audio) or if they originate from somewhere else?
