I was a huge SCTV fan at the time and remember staying up to see this interview since it was probably the first time I had seen any of the cast members speak as themselves. As with most segments on his show, Tom Snyder was completely clueless as to what SCTV was or what his guests did. It was as if Tom was sealed in a cocoon between tapings and had no idea what was going on in the world. Nice guy, but not big on the research.
