The Mike Douglas Show with guest Sid Caesar (1983)

Interesting background information about the Mike Douglas show in the new book about Roger Ailes, "The Loudest Voice In The Room."
Roger clawed his way to the top of that show, and attached himself to Richard Nixon, and the rest is history.
We should state a clarification. This is not the original Mike Douglas Show that was seen in daytime syndication. This show was CNN's first prime time talk show. It was the precursor to Larry King Live which debuted in 1985. This show didn't last very long and Douglas was succeeded by Sandy Freeman before King started his 25 year reign in 1985.
