Everything Happens to Mel starring Mel Torme - Pilot (1955)
And Mel races off into the darkness, eluding the motorcycle cop that wants to arrest him for appearing in this terrible pilot.
The only redeeming features are a couple musical numbers from Mel, and Joe Besser (the fey stooge) almost looking into the camera and painfully exclaiming, "Everything happens to Mel!"
