While I enjoyed this episode, it should be noted that "special guest
star Glenn Strange" was semi-regular Sam The Bartender, who worked for Miss Kitty.
And by 1966 Gunsmoke was broadcast
in color, though the print you
posted was still in lovely black
and white.

Ah, well, Glenn Strange was a regular. My knowledge of Gunsmoke is up there with my knowledge of Bonanza. Thanks for the hot tip!
