For non-Chicagoans: Valentine Janicki was a local Chicago politician, a longtime Sanitary District Trustee, and possibly the loosest cannon in the Daley Democratic machine. Seldom did a week go by without Mr. Janicki calling a press conference that soon devolved into a shouting match with the reporters. Just thought you'd like to know...
