The appearance of Spider-Man puts
this ad into the late 1970's!

And the reference to a beeper might even take it into the 80's!

The references to the Annie musical and motion picture also place this in the early to mid 80s.

The narrator mentions Garfield being on TV, which would put this no earlier than 1984. A very interesting find!

Given the blank slate at the end, one presumes this was syndicated to local newspapers, to run in their local markets.

That line about "Do you sleep in that hat?" "YOU'LL never know!" is a bit risque for an animated 1980s commercial... funny, though.

Geoff, at least it's good to know that Tracy was staying faithful to Tess Trueheart rather than wasting his time with that harlot Brenda Starr--HA!

The voice for Brenda Starr was very familiar. The only name coming to mind is Sheree North, but I'm not about to swear to it....
