Bob Hope willingly supported every foreign intervention the US Military embarked on, so it makes sense that he would also willingly support the oil industry that demanded many of those escapades.

Love this site, but the cheap shot at Bob Hope is out of line. Hope's "support" consisted of countless trips to entertain troops who were serving overseas, during wartime and peacetime. And in all fairness, he came to prominence with the WWII generation, whose unwavering support of that "escapade" saved the world. Cut the man some slack.
I like Bob Hope.
