  3. No mistaking whose career Serling had in mind here. "Push! Push!" He was under a lot of pressure. I saw him speak once and he was communicating to everyone that a writer can indeed make some money. He mentioned just having signed a $7 million contract if memory serves.

  4. Serling consciously patterned the small town in "Walking Distance" after his own hometown of Binghamton, New York.
