    This was remade in the 1970s on PBS, starring Jack Cassidy, Kevin McCarthy, Susan Sarandon and, as the piano player, Stephen Sondheim.

    Ten years earlier, Jack Benny did a radio version for Orson Welles' Mercury Theater... well, they called it the Campbell Playhouse at that point.
