KTTV - Hadley's Town Hall Party with Gene Vicent and his Blue Capts and Eddie Cochran (1959)
This was recorded on the same day as Buddy Holly's funeral. Eddie Cochran was a close friend of Buddy, and was never the same after the loss. Within a year, Eddie would be dead (car crash) and Gene would be seriously hurt from the same accident. These early rockers couldn't catch a break.
Some say that Eddie would have been bigger than Elvis. He had it all: he could write incredible songs, play guitar, bass and drums, and experimented with recording studio techniques like altered tape speeds and overdubbing.
