Late Night with David Letterman with guests Macaulay Culkin and Danny Thomas (1991)
This may have been the last thing Danny Thomas ever did. Nothing else posted today, because I am forcing you to watch this. It's great.
If this wasn't the last thing Danny Thomas did, it was the next to last. An episode of "Empty Nest" had aired a week or two before he passed. As far as performances go, taping dates, etc. this very well could be. Thanks for sharing!
P.S. Loved the quote of Dave saying "NBC is the greatest in the world!" Ha!
I used to produce TV News at a station in Memphis, TN, and remember the week Danny died. On Monday, he was at St. Jude for some kind of announcement. I remember because we sent an intern with the photographer to get a short sound bite, and Danny became visibly indignant when the intern asked him for his name. Then I was working that morning when news of Danny's death came across the AP wires from Hollywood. I believe it was a Wednesday.

I think Danny's final TV appearance was on his son-in-law Phil Donahue's talk show.
ReplyDeleteToupee by Max Factor. And how about a contribution to St. Jude.
