Vaughn Meader Documentary (2008)
Dunno how this got passed my radar. Has anyone seen it? The documentary I mean, not my radar.
Nice. But... I worked with Abbot Vaughn Meader in 1992 and spent time with him on and off till his move to Florida - to a house he bought with money Tom Hanks paid for the rights to his life. The man never NEVER went around saying he was Jesus. That was a myth that sprouted up and never died. Many many thousands of people got to see Abbot entertain them over the years only they did not know. Here in NYC he frequently played ay the famed Lone Star under the name Johnny Sunday. He was a phenomenal musician/song writer. How it would have blown their minds had the audience known who Johnny REALLY was. The man was a true genius. An astounding man. One day I will go through the many hours of taped conversations with him. There's gold in them thar tapes. Gold more valuable than money...
