Loved Paul Baby! By all accounts an inspiration for young David Letterman when his Cincinnati series was at its peak and seen throughout Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

Deacon was very popular in the Cincinnati area and would often appear on THE BOB BRAUN SHOW here as well. He would generally do cooking demos.Very charismatic man as both a talk show host and guest. Was wasted as a character actor. Coulda been another Merv Griffin!

I seem to remember reading that before entering showbiz, Deacon worked as a medical intern at a hospital in Binghamton, NY. He'd eventually do an episode of THE TWILIGHT ZONE -- produced by Binghamton's favorite son, Rod Serling.
