Nostalgic I am not. The series is as good as anything in the 1% that I watch on TV today.

At any rate, thank you, Mr. Nesteroff. I very much enjoyed all the benefits of your hard work you did on the book. And God Bless Nat Hiken, possibly the best writer for TV in the century in which he lived and made enjoyable for millions of people.

Wouldn't it be great if a good biography of Nat were written?

Now go read "The Wicked Wit of The West." He said he could've had it edited out, but thought it vividly illustrated how devoted he was to his craft. Not knowing that beforehand, I watched the movie on Netflix and spotted him. It took me a minute to figure out who he was. He was uncredited. Interestingly, his act in the film looked like the crude act he reportedly did in real life - not much acting going on, but no disrespect intended.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2398796842887862508.post-69004140800384570932011-12-18T23:13:45.394-08:002011-12-18T23:13:45.394-08:00Next time ask Hank about Lenny Montana, who played...Next time ask Hank about Lenny Montana, who played Luca Brasi in The Godfather. Hank Garrett co-starred in a horror film I wrote and I've spoken to him a number of times since then-- but had I known he'd led such a colorful life, I would've bought the drinks.
