I thought a classic interview was with Stanley Siegel:

Stanley was the guy who interviewed Truman Capote after Capote swallowed a bunch of pills and washed them down with cocktails. A lesser interviewer would have cancelled the interview, but not Stanley.

He had a unique morning show; probably the weirdest of all local morning shows. At the end of every broadcast, he'd lay on a couch and be analyzed by his psychiatrist.
