Jack Carter: Angry Man

My latest article is a capsize tribute to the late comedian Jack Carter and the time I spent with him. You can have a copy of this exclusive piece sent directly to your e-mail box by clicking on the yellow DONATE button on the top right of the screen on the web-version of Classic Television Showbiz. I don't think the DONATE button always shows up if you're using a smartphone, but you can also PayPal direct to kliphnesteroff@gmail.com

This article was originally written for the Hollywood Reporter, but never ran. Read for the first time how Jack Carter missed out on It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World and why he and I never followed through on his memoir.

Interesting article. Definitely worth a donation.

Since Carter is passed, is it possible to finish the autobio with the blessing of his estate?

Also: you ought to consider working over the Wikipedia entry for Carter. Even if you didn't add content, it reads like an 8th grade book report. If you add some quotes and use your website interviews as sources, it might drive a little traffic here too.

Great article! It would be interesting to read a rundown of all of the major comedians that were left out of IT'S A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD (Bob Hope, Jackie Gleason, Groucho Marx, Red Skelton, Lucille Ball, Eve Arden, Joey Bishop, Don Rickles, Danny Kaye, etc.) and the reasons behind each omission.
