The Joke's On Us featuring Nipsey Russell, Jack Carter, Marty Allen and Maurice LaMarche (1983) - Footage Offline - 11/22/10
This obscure Canadian game show was filmed in Toronto and hosted by Canadian square Monty Hall. It has resurfaced in recent years on Canadian cable channels strapped for programming that qualifies as "Canadian content" in order to appease Canadian broadcast laws. Maurice LaMarche was the only member of the panel who wasn't an old washed-up comedian at this point, and he has since gone on to be a very successful Hollywood voice-actor (most notably as The Brain from Pinky and The Brain). As a washed-up gag writer myself, I have a real soft spot for this lemon of a show.

You're correct...boring show. Neat to see Marty Allens hair again, though. Interesting side note (or not): Sylvie Garant was a playboy playmate in the late 70's. Guess her career never went much further than this....
